If you or someone you love is in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or visit your nearest emergency room. Day to Day Dementia is a peer-support and education community — not a crisis resource.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you join our waitlist, you provide your email address. If and when we launch paid membership and community features, you may also provide account details (such as a name or username), payment information (processed by our payment processor — we do not store full card numbers), and any content you choose to post in the community.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, we and our analytics provider may automatically collect standard usage information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and the dates and times of your visits. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 3).

2. How we use information

We rely on your consent (for waitlist sign-up and non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests (to operate and improve the site securely), and, where applicable, the performance of a contract (if you become a paying member) as legal bases for processing.

3. Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand site usage. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data on our behalf. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and you can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from joining the waitlist.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:

5. A note about health information

Day to Day Dementia is a peer-support and education community. We are not a healthcare provider and not a HIPAA "covered entity," and the information we collect is not protected health information under HIPAA. Please do not share another person's identifiable medical information through our site. Any health-related details you choose to share about yourself or a loved one are shared at your discretion; treat the community as a supportive, not a confidential clinical, space.

6. Data retention

We keep waitlist information until you ask us to remove it or until it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected. Account and other information will be retained for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

7. Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. To exercise any of these, email anthony@daytodaydementia.com; we will respond as required by law.

EU / UK (GDPR)

You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of your personal data; object to certain processing; request portability; and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA)

You may request to know, delete, or correct the personal information we hold about you, and you may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

9. International users & data transfers

We operate from the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

10. Children's privacy

The website, waitlist, and membership are intended for adults (18+) and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Day to Day Match 3 is rated 4+ and may be used by anyone. The app has no account, collects nothing, and transmits nothing, so no personal information is collected from a player of any age. The full app policy is here: Day to Day Match 3 — App Privacy Policy.

11. Third-party links

Our site links to third-party resources (for example, the Alzheimer's Association and the 988 Lifeline). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
